Want to catch some shut-eye in your SUV, and a bike lane is the only convenient place? All you need do is put an orange cone on top of your car, then get to sawing those logs!
Maybe all those cyclists in Central Park should put cones on their heads.
This is yesterday morning, in the (in)famous Henry Street bike lane. Ironically, he was there to reserve the spots across the street, for a film shoot.
The flash from my camera woke him up, and he rolled down the window. Our conversation was thus:
“It’s a bike lane.”
“I know.”
I called the cell # on the sign. It is bogus.
Great catch. Especially that you called the # and its bogus. I assume you've reported this to the City's Film Office and 311?
