What a great song! I first heard these guys on Michael Shelley's show on WFMU. The band is Green, which came out Chicago in the mid-80s. AllMusic says,

“Jeff Lescher and his bandmates wrote smart, tuneful, and energetic pop tunes and played them with the appropriate degree of spunk communicated through simple, well-crafted arrangements.”

I wrote the band via their website, asking if I could post this tune. Kindly, Jeff Lescher gave me the nod, and added,

“Please also let me know if a large-major-record-company-conglomerate contacts you about signing us up to a fabulous million dollar recording contract.”

I was waiting for this post! I'm always a fan of the clever musician with poppy beats about whom I can say, "I knew them when" after their first million. Great work, Green/Jeff!
