A week or so ago, I put Deconstructing Harry on my list of best Woody Allen
films.
Though nominated for an Academy Award for Best Writing, it’s not
a movie you hear people talk about much, and I know a lot of folks haven’t seen it.
If, as David Denby said, Annie Hall was where
Allen jettisoned his ‘schlump’ character and let loose his aggression,
Deconstructing Harry is where he lets his id run free.
