The Democratic-controlled House of Representatives passed legislation to enact the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission. It includes provisions for greater port inspections as well as making sure high-profile targets like New York get more of their share of federal funds.
Peter King, (R-NY) who sits on the Homeland Security Committee, said:
"To make it part of a 100-hour show shamefully trivializes an issue of life or death,"
