I'm relieved (I think) I'm not the only person who thought this... And if you're a heterosexual male, and you say you didn't - stop lying to us, really, now. I admit though that I really hadn't thought about this. Maybe I'm just getting old.
A -real- person I also have a crush on is Fi Glover, from the BBC Radio. Being radio, it all happened sight unseen. I was taken in by what Wikipedia describes as style "characterised by a mix of serious journalism and subtle satirical and sarcastic comment"
As she is not only lives on another continent, she is also in a committed relationship, has a child, etc., maybe I'll hold out for esurance girl.
In celebration of Tom Stoppard's 70th birthday, the BBC 4 had a beautiful production of his play, Arcadia.
I've previously heard the BBC 4's production of "The Real Thing", which I also loved.
Shame on me for never seeing any of his plays when they've been presented in New York.
I encourage everyone to give a listen. Within 5 minutes, it was obvious to me, that he is one of the smartest people currently living. Beyond that, his way with the English language is simply incredible, and the fact that he isn't a native English speaker..I'm dumbstruck. Certainly not a problem of Stoppard's.
